Learning Log 7

I have learned that there are a lot of graphic organizers for vocabulary that stretch and can be implemented across all of the disciplines. For myself and I'm sure others, when thinking of teaching and learning vocabulary most people think of ELA/Reading as the main discipline where you take the time to devolve into a certain term, but with the Frayer Model for concept vocabulary you can use it across science, math, history, and ELA. Since the Frayer Model gives students a "student friendly" definition of the term that they themselves help create alongside the teacher, facts/characteristics about the term, examples and non examples, This is a great way to show all aspects and examples of a single term on a sheet of paper for students to refer back to.
