Interactive Read Alouds

Interactive read aloud's have always been one of my favorite reading activities. When I first began teaching, I knew I had to have a daily story time because children never get enough time exploring stories.

My favorite strategy to begin reading stories to my students visualizing. I always modeled what visualizing something looked like so that my students would not feel self-conscious or silly about closing their eyes and getting in tune with their senses..

By the end of each year, we were visualizing during math, and science and any other time the students felt compelled to do so.
